Infra-red CCTV Lighting Systems

IL 500 infra-red LED illuminator

The Oxley IL500 IR illuminator employs the latest IR LED technology, which not only provides an excellent alternative to conventional incandescent bulbs. With its long operational life (typically 7 to 10 years) low power consumption and low to no maintenance the IL500 Illuminator is the perfect alternative to filament bulb lighting in CCTV lighting applications.

The key features of our Infra red illumination using LED technology are clear -

Powerful, wide, even beam

High power, IR LEDs

Rugged construction

Weatherproofed to IP66

Available as covert and semi-covert operation

Low power consumption

Much of the power used by the IL500 Illuminator is efficiently converted to a wide, smooth and powerful IR beam rather than unwanted heat. Dependent on the camera/lens configuration, distances in excess of 100 meter's are achievable with the smooth 35 degree beam.

The picture above shows the typical IR illumination, from our IL 500, of a person and dog at 100 meters (328 ft)

Repeated on/off cycling of the IL500 Illuminator has no detrimental effect on the life of the unit.

The IL500 IR Illuminator is available in covert (940nm) or semi-covert (850nm) specification and other wavelengths and beam widths can also be supplied.

The system has a special power supply that regulates the current to the illuminator head as well as providing twilight and telemetry switching.
