Oxley Group has been shortlisted in two categories for the prestigious 2015 CN Group Business Awards.
Oxley is a finalist in the ‘Innovation' category for the development of the new Par 64 LED Bulb Replacement designed to replace existing bulbs used on military and commercial aircraft. The lighting unit offers much greater reliability than halogen technology and reduces both physical waste and maintenance requirements; minimising aircraft on the ground time. The Oxley lamp delivers high ‘through life' cost savings as there is no requirement to replace bulbs and also offers savings through a reduced power consumption of just 140W DC.
Oxley is also a finalist in the prestigious ‘Manufacturing Business of the Year' category, a major achievement when Cumbria is home to a number of world class manufacturers.
The CN Group Business Awards celebrate the success and enterprise of Cumbrian businesses. The finalists were selected by a panel of independent judges and a short listing in two categories is a particular achievement as the judges commented on the high calibre of entries. Marie Whitehead, director of CN Events, who chaired the judging panel, said: "Once again the task of judging has been both rewarding and challenging as the quality of entries rises each year. "It is highly encouraging to see so many businesses investing in their products, their staff and their premises to make sure the business offer in Cumbria remains strong and vibrant.”
Winners will be revealed at an awards ceremony in October.
