Oxley staff are set to receive a bumper Christmas bonus this week as the Group marks a return to growth and profit.
Oxley introduced the unique reward scheme in 2015; offering employees the opportunity to share up to 30% of the company’s annual profit based on achieving specific targets, so the more profit the company makes the more is shared amongst the valued workforce. This year 138 employees based at the Barrow and Ulverston sites received the bonus which equated to 3% of their annual salaries.
Martin Blakstad, Group CEO said ‘We are committed to making Oxley a great place to work and we’re delighted to be able to reward our staff for their loyalty and hard work by offering them this bonus payment. It is only because Oxley is a family owned company that we can offer this significant opportunity for employees to directly benefit from the success of the business.
‘2016 has seen a strong performance for the business; we’ve secured significant orders on major military vehicle and aerospace projects across the world. Oxley is well positioned for further success with an order book in excess of £20 million over coming years through well established relationships with defence and aerospace market leaders such as Boeing, Gulfstream, General Dynamics, BAE Systems and Saab.’
